This unparalleled destination invites you to embark on an immersive journey through the rich terroir of the Maritimes, with each moment crafted and imagined on a global scale. This is not merely dining; it is a sensory voyage through time, place, and the boundless possibilities that lie within our natural world.

At Mystic, there are three ways to experience our table.

For the full expression of our craft, our signature menus, Fauna and Biota, offer an eight-course journey through land and sea, a guided exploration of Nova Scotia’s bounty shaped by global technique and seasonal rhythm.

For a more intimate encounter, the Discovery Menu invites guests to sit front-row at the Galley, an immersive space where kitchen and dining room meet. This eight-course tasting unfolds in real time, evolving nightly as our chefs draw inspiration from the ingredients, fermentations, and foraged elements at hand.

Those seeking a more condensed experience may choose the Short Form Menu, a four-course tasting with limited daily seating, inspired by both Fauna and Biota and designed as a concise introduction to the Mystic journey.

Signature Menus

At Mystic, we offer two signature tasting menus—Fauna and Biota—designed to take you on a guided journey through land and sea.

Each eight-course progression reflects a dialogue between land and sea, inspired by Nova Scotia’s evolving landscape and ingredients. Through refined technique and creative interpretation, familiar elements are transformed into something entirely new.

Menus change with the seasons, shaped by what the region offers at its peak. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are also available with advance notice, ensuring every guest can experience the essence of Mystic.

Mystic is a space where architecture, art, and landscape converge.

Set within Queen’s Marque, Mystic occupies a building designed to blur the line between land and sea — where light, reflection, and movement shift with every change in the harbour.

Jutting out over the water, Mystic is surrounded on three sides by the ocean, heightening the sense of theatre within. Above, Rise Again — the sloped roof and steps that ascend like a vessel from the sea — leads to Tidal Beacon, the illuminated sculpture that marks the tides.

Designed by MacKay-Lyons Sweetapple Architects with interiors by DesignAgency, the restaurant seems to float above the water, its glass walls capturing the harbour’s ever-changing light. Within, guests dine beneath an abstracted ship’s hull suspended above the open kitchen, a sculptural centrepiece that evokes the movement of the sea and the craftsmanship of those who work upon it.

Locally quarried sandstone, weathered metals, and maritime hues anchor the space to its setting, while an interactive art installation echoes the rhythms of the Tidal Beacon above. Every detail reflects a deep connection to place. The result is a dining room that feels both elemental and modern: part gallery, part theatre, and entirely of the Atlantic.
